LEWES, Del.- Delaware State Police have released video surveillance photos of a suspect wanted for allegedly robbing the Walgreens pharmacy in Lewes early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m., as a male suspect entered the pharmacy, located at 17239 Five Points Square. Police said the suspect approached a 40-year-old male employee at the pharmacy counter. The suspect then presented a demand note for prescription narcotics and implied that he had a gun, according to police. The employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of narcotic medication. Investigators said the suspect then ran out of the store with the narcotics and drove away in a silver four door compact car. There were no reported injuries.
The suspect is described as white, 25-35 years of age, between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-0, and 175-200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, dark hat, white sneakers and dark colored gloves.
