DAFB Celebrates Medical Clinic Renovation

Posted:

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Members of Delaware's congressional delegation are helping celebrate the renovation of the medical clinic at Dover Air Force Base.

Sens. Tom Carper and Chris Coons were scheduled to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday for the clinic.

The 436th Medical Group clinic was renovated with federal stimulus funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Workers renovated 55,000-square-feet of space at a cost of $17.1 million, moving most of the customer service sections to the first floor and converting the upper two floors to office space.
