Salisbury Mother Charged with Child Neglect

SALISBURY, Md.- Police have arrested a Salisbury mother accused of leaving her three children unattended at home.

At around 10 p.m. Sunday, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of unattended children at a home in the 600 block of Dawn Court. Investigators said that upon arrival, the deputy discovered three children inside the home without any adult supervision, with one of the children being under the age of 8. While the deputy was on the scene, one of the children called their mother who then returned home.

Police said that after an investigation, the deputy placed the mother, Fayetta Collick, under arrest for leaving an unattended child alone under the age of 8. She is being held in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
