Georgetown Amends Trash Pickup Schedule

Updated:

GEORGETOWN, Del.- The Town of Georgetown announced Thursday that Waste Industries Inc., will change the day for trash collection from specific neighborhoods to a collective town pickup.

Waste Industries said the change will be effective next week. Citizens will now have trash collected weekly every Monday rather than different days depending on the residence. Anyone who is putting out trash is asked to place cans along the curb Sunday evening.

According to Waste Industries, the change will not affect recycling collection that takes place every other Monday. The company is working on alerting their customers of the change for trash collection.

For a copy of the trash and recycling pickup schedule visit www.georgetowndel.com. Anyone with any concerns is asked to contact Waste Industries at (877) 642- 5400.
