DOVER, Del. (AP)- Delaware ranks 24th in the nation when it comes to high school seniors passing advanced placement exams.
The College Board said in a report released Wednesday that 15.5 percent of Delaware seniors earned a score of 3 or higher on one or more AP exams in 2011. Advanced Placement scores are out of 5.
Nationwide 18.1 percent of seniors earned a score of 3 or higher on one or more exams.
Still, the percentage of students in Delaware passing at least one AP exam has grown in the last decade. It is up from 8.1 percent in 2001.
Maryland ranked number one in the nation with 27.9 percent of seniors earning a score of 3 or higher on one or more exams.
