CAMBRIDGE, Md.- People who live in the Pintail Landing neighborhood on Feather Drive in Cambridge say they need more street lights because it gets incredibly dark on the street at night.
"You can't walk down there because it's so dark," said resident Pam Gregory. "You don't know if down there, people doing whatever they want to do down there, throwing trash out that kind of stuff late at night or as soon as it gets dark."
Bruce Ennals agrees, saying, "I think a little more light out here would be a little better. Just for people to see...a little more direction of where you're going."
Cambridge City Councilman Gage Thomas said he believes the development contractors were not able to finish putting in the lights and the current contractor does not want the responsibility. Thomas said the council is working with Delmarva Power and plans on paying for lights in the community if it can afford it.
Thomas said after its last meeting, the council went to the community at night to see what the people were talking about. He said the lights will be on the agenda for the next council meeting on Feb. 27.
