ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller says Senate changes to Gov. Martin O'Malley's budget will include additional cuts.
Miller, D-Calvert, told reporters Thursday that cuts to Medicaid, community colleges and scholarships awarded to Maryland residents by state senators and delegates will be part of the package the Senate is planning to include in its version of the budget.
The Senate Budget and Taxation Committee will meet Thursday afternoon to consider recommendations by the panel's subcommittees.
Miller says revenues and a teacher pension split with the counties also will be in the budget.
The Senate president says it's a very complicated budget this year, because the entire budget is being dissected.
