VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - Virginia has its second $1 million Powerball winner since the multistate game changed in January.
The Virginia Lottery says a ticket sold for the March 31 drawing matched the first five numbers - 5-14-36-54-58. The ticket missed the Powerball number, which was 27.
A Food Lion in Virginia Beach sold the winning ticket.
Prior to the changes, the prize for matching the first five numbers but not the Powerball was $250,000.
The ticket's holder has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.
Iona "John" Vancea of Falls Church won the $1 million prize in March.
