Delaware Department of Agriculture DDA exists to sustain and promote the viability of food, fiber, and agricultural industries in Delaware through quality services that protect and enhance the environment, health, and welfare of the general public.

Delmarva Farmland Strategy Project  The American Farmland Trust initiated the Delmarva Farmland Strategy Project to bring new tools to communities struggling to accommodate change and growth while retaining a profitable agricultural sector.

Delaware Soybean Board The Delaware Soybean Board administers the federal Soybean Checkoff program in the State of Delaware.

Delmarva Poultry Industry Nonprofit organization working for the continued progress of the poultry industry on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Mar-Del Watermelon Association "Promoting locally-grown, delicious and nutritious watermelons." Site features information on events, watermelon facts, photos and promotions.

Maryland Department of Agriculture Provides information on agribusiness programs, environmentally sound farming practices, land preservation, and crop reports.

UMES- Department of Agriculture The University of Maryland Eastern Shore's Department of Agriculture has a working farm with 210 acres of cropland and 42 acres of pastures.

University of Delaware Cooperative Extension Educational and advisory services for farmers, 4-H members, and families. Includes publications, calendar of events, program information, and related links.

University of Maryland Extension UME educational programs and problem-solving assistance are available to citizens and are based on the research and experience of land grant universities.

Virginia Cooperative Extension Provides resources and educational outreach to the Commonwealth of Virginia's more than 7 million residents in the areas of agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences, community viability, and 4-H youth development.

    A new drainage pipe has recently replaced a smaller and older one beneath Hubbard Avenue, a frequent spot for flooding after heavy rain. The system is intended to help flood waters disperse more quickly into the Murderkill River.

    Now, it is happening again. 

    As thousands of gallons of water are being relocated from one side of the Rockawalkin Creek to the other - the road remains closed for a significant period of time.
