Gov. Markell Buys Ticket for 57th DFRC Blue Gold All Star Game

NEWARK, Del. - The DFRC Blue-Gold All-Star Football Game committee announced Tuesday that Delaware Governor Jack Markell will buy a ticket for the 57th Annual DFRC Blue-Gold All-Star Football Game on Thursday, April 26, 2012.

The ticket sale will take place in the governor's office in Legislative Hall at 2:00 p.m. Accompanying the Governor will be this year's All-Star Buddies, Kayla Kosmalski and Malori Hitchens, along with their parents and their respective senior high school buddies participating in this year's game. 

Also in attendance will be Melissa Brady, Game Chair for the 57th Annual Blue-Gold All-Star Football Game, and DFRC Executive Director, Tony Glenn, Ed.D.

The DFRC Blue-Gold Football Game will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at the Tubby Raymond Field at the University of Delaware. All proceeds benefit programs that enrich the lives of Delaware residents with intellectual disabilities through grants provided by DFRC, Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens with intellectual disabilities.

Tickets for the game can be purchased through the DFRC Blue-Gold All including any Delaware Grotto Pizza location and any Delaware Lions Club. Tickets can also be purchased directly from DFRC at or by calling (302) 454-2730.

General Admission tickets for the June 23, 2012 game are $10, with student tickets available for $7. Discounted tickets are available for groups of 10 or more. Reserved Box seating is also available by contacting DFRC at (302) 454-2730. Parking areas will open at 2:00 p.m. (parking is $5 per vehicle).  Stadium gates will open at 5:00 p.m.
