CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. - It's a big designation for a little home.

The Captain Timothy Hill House, thought to be built in 1800, the oldest known on the island, is now on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register.

Actors Paul Brzozowski and Louisa Flaningam bought the home December 2009, and renovated the structure to its original design, as they sought recognition for the home.

A family member of a descendant is moved by the journey the house has taken.

"We're so proud and thankful (Paul and Louisa) did this," said Ann Hill of Chincoteague.
