REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Police in Rehoboth Beach are investigating a series of burglaries over the last month.
Officers report at least six burglaries or attempted burglaries since April 21, primarily in the northwest part of the city near Grove Park.
In one case, someone stole several flat screen televisions from a home off St. Michael's Place, said Rehoboth Beach Police Chief Keith Banks. A business along the avenue also reported about $2,700 stolen during a burglary, Banks said.
The chief believes the crimes are connected based on the timing and location. Banks said 23 seasonal officers are scheduled to start in the coming weeks, which should add more eyes and ears for police.
So far, officers have not made any arrests in the burglary cases.
