ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley's signature is now on hundreds of bills passed by the legislature this year.
O'Malley signed the legislation in a ceremony Wednesday afternoon.
Among the bills OK'd by the governor were several environmental items from his own legislative package.
They include measures to increase the state's so-called flush tax and limit where new residential septic systems can be installed
He also signed a bill designed to improve coordination between law enforcement and community groups when a child disappears.
The bill is named after Phylicia Barnes, a North Carolina teen who disappeared in 2010 while visiting Baltimore and was later found dead.
