








SALISBURY, Md.– The Salisbury University baseball team moved up to No. 4 in the American Baseball Coaches Association Division III Poll and remained at No. 5 in the D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 Poll, announced on Tuesday.
Salisbury (31-7), which begins play in its 13th consecutive NCAA tournament at the Newport News Regional on Wednesday, earned 210 points in the ABCA poll, trailed Marietta College (238), the State University of New York at Cortland (226) and Keystone College (212). Marietta (seven) Keystone (one) split first-place votes.
SU earned 519 points in the D3baseball.com poll, trailing Marietta (622), SUNY Cortland (572), Keystone (548) and the University of St. Thomas (520). Marietta (22), Keystone (two) and Cortland (one) shared first-place votes.
The second-seeded Sea Gulls play fifth-seeded Lynchburg College in a first-round game at Christopher Newport University's Captains Park at 2 p.m. Originally scheduled for a 1 p.m., start, the game has been pushed back an hour due to rain in the Newport News area.
