WILMINGTON, Del.- Delaware State Police say a Wilmington man has been charged with a shooting that wounded a woman in a restaurant parking lot.
Police said 40-year-old Oneil A. Rose is facing attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and firearms charges. Troopers said say Rose fled the scene of the shooting Saturday night and was arrested Sunday in his vehicle near the intersection of routes 273 and 13 in New Castle.
According to police, the 25-year-old woman was shot when a fight broke out in the Caribbean Delight restaurant's parking lot between Rose and an unidentified 33-year-old New Castle man. The woman was struck in the arm and treated at a Christiana Hospital.
Following his arrest on the aforementioned charges, Rose was ordered held in the Howard Young Correctional Institution for lack of $285,000 cash bail.
