NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - An international fleet of tall ships are participating in a parade through Hampton Roads.
The big sailing ships with high masts will make their way Friday from the Chesapeake Bay side of Virginia Beach, past Fort Monroe in Hampton to downtown Norfolk. Thousands of spectators on shore and in their own boats are expected to watch the procession.
Once docked, many of the ships will be available for public tours.
The ships are in the area as part of OpSail 2012 Virginia. They will leave for Baltimore on Tuesday.
