DOVER, Del. – Delaware State baseball player Jordan Elliott has been named to the All-East First Team.
The All-East Team is determined by the American Baseball Coaches Association, which assembles a squad of the best players in the region.
Elliott posted more wins in 2012 than any other pitcher in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. He also tied for the league lead in shutouts this season, and led DSU to the 2012 MEAC North Title.
The Hornets tied their own record for wins in a season this year, coming out on top 40 times in 2012. This is the second consecutive year that a DSU ballplayer has represented the Hornets on the All-East First team, after second baseman Scott Davis took the honors in 2011.
