2 Teens Apparently Hit by Pellet Gun at Va. School

CHANTILLY, Va. (AP) - Two teenagers suffered non-life-threatening injuries after apparently being struck by shots from a pellet gun on the grounds of a middle school in Chantilly.

The Fairfax County Police Department said in a press release that the incident took place Friday around 10 a.m. on the grounds of Rocky Run Middle School.

The teenagers who were shot, a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, were transported to a hospital.

Police and school officials apprehended a group of 4 teenagers they believe are involved in the incident. The suspects are juveniles who did not attend the middle school. Police also recovered a pellet gun believed to have been involved in the shooting.

Police are continuing to investigate and charges are pending.
