The accident occurred late Monday morning at a new home under construction on Democracy Drive in Parsonsburg. Sean Malone was found in the garage by co-worker Wayne Hudson under 14 sheets of drywall weighing more than 100 pounds each. Hudson said he made the discovery during his lunchbreak. According to Hudson, when the accident happened Malone was alone and with the radio on at full blast.
"He never asked for help and I just wished he did," Hudson said. "My heart goes out to the family and I'm sorry we didn't hear him."
Maryland Occupational Safety and Health officials and members of the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation are conducting a further investigation.
