Garage Fire in Georgetown Ruled Arson

GEORGETOWN, Del.– The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says a garage fire in Georgetown was set intentionally.

The fire occurred shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday, at a garage located on the 22000 block of Rudd Road. The structure was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters from the Georgetown Fire Department arrived on the scene.

No injuries were reported but it is estimated that the fire caused $10,000 in damages. Additional assistance was given by the Milton and Ellendale fire departments.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is still investigating the blaze. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call 1-800-TIP-3333-or the State Fire Marshal's Office at (302) 856-5600.
