SALISBURY, Md.— A Salisbury man is facing attempted murder and related charges following accusations that he attacked a woman living with him.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said that on June 12 a deputy investigated a domestic violence incident that had been reported the previous day by a female victim. The victim told authorities she was in the process of packing her belongings and leaving the Delaware Avenue home she shared with 22-year-old Timothy J. Mitchell when Mitchell allegedly became enraged.

Investigators said the victim stated that Mitchell grabbed her by the throat and held her against the wall, causing her to lose consciousness and require a friend's help to leave the home. Investigators said Mitchell is accused of throwing things around the home.

Mitchell was located on June 20 and taken into custody on a warrant charging him with attempted second-degree murder, false imprisonment and reckless endangerment.

Mitchell was ordered held in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $500,000 bond.
