Va. Police Investigating Shooting in Wireless Store


COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (AP) - Police are investigating the shooting death of a man inside an NTelos wireless store in Colonial Heights.

Sgt. Robert Ruxer III says police responded to the store at 10:22 a.m. Friday after a customer found the victim dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

Ruxer would not say whether they man's wounds were self-inflicted, but he said police are not looking for any suspects and that the community is not in danger. He classified it as a "death investigation" and not a homicide.

Ruxer said the man was approximately 50 years old and was associated with the store. He did not know if he was an employee or the owner.

NTelos did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
