STEVENSVILLE, Md. (AP)- The U.S. Coast Guard rescued three swimmers who drifted away from their anchored boat off Kent Island in the Chesapeake Bay.
Someone on the boat called the Coast Guard on Monday afternoon to report that three men were drifting away from the boat and needed assistance. The person aboard the boat was not able to operate it to rescue them.
The crew aboard a 25-foot response boat from Annapolis was able to reach the men and transported them back to their boat. No injuries were reported.
