BALTIMORE (AP) - Former Orioles Cal Ripken Jr. and Eddie Murray will be inducted into the Hall of Legends at Baltimore's Camden Yards.

The Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation announced Thursday that Ripken and Murray will be officially inducted Sept. 5.

In addition to Ruth, the famed Yankees slugger and Baltimore native, the pair joins previous inductees including former Baltimore Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas, former University of Maryland basketball Gary Williams and sports announcer Jim McKay.

The foundation says the hall at the Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards is reserved for the elite of Maryland's sports culture.

Ripken broke Lou Gehrig's record for consecutive games played. Murray was an 8-time All-Star. They are both already in baseball's Hall of Fame.
