SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities are investigating an early Thursday fire that caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage to a Salisbury home.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the two-alarm blaze occurred shortly after midnight Thursday at the home located at 27200 Tartan Lane. It took 45 firefighters from the Salisbury, Hebron, Westside and Fruitland fire departments approximately 90 minutes to get the fire under control.
There were no reported injuries. The fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to the three-story home and another $50,000 in damage to its contents. The Red Cross is offering assistance to the occupants.
Authorities said there were activated smoke detectors inside the home. The preliminary cause of the fire is still under investigation.
