MAGNOLIA, Del.— Delaware State Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash in Magnolia that left three men injured Sunday.
Authorities said 35-year-old Maxo Baptichon of Dover was driving a 1997 Geo Tracker northbound on South State Street north of Brookview Avenue at around 10:20 a.m when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle left the east edge of the road and struck a mailbox. According to investigators, the car continued traveling north and hit two utility poles before spinning around and ejecting the back seat passenger, 40-year-old Junior A. Casimir of Magnolia, and landing in the right lane of northbound South State Street.
EMS transported Casimir to Kent General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Front seat passenger 31-year-old Joseph Roulsony of Dover was also taken to Kent General, where he is listed in serious condition. Neither passenger had been wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to police.
Police said Baptichon, who had been wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries and refused treatment.
