NEWARK, Del.- Delmarva Power says it has restored power to all of the estimated 84,000 customers who lost service after last week's storms.
Restoration was completed early Tuesday evening.
"Last weekend's storm caused significant damage to our electric system and that made the repair work challenging and time-consuming," said Delmarva Power Region President Gary Stockbridge. "I want to thank our customers for their patience and our crews who worked tirelessly to restore electric service to them as quickly and as safely as possible. I also want to thank state and local emergency management officials for their cooperation and assistance in helping us deal with the effects of this storm."
Now, Delmarva Power is redeploying more than 150 crew members to help with outage repairs at Pepco and Atlantic City Electric, its sister companies which are still working on storm restoration in their respective service territories of the greater Washington, D.C., region and southern New Jersey.
