2 Killed in Wicomico County Crash

SALISBURY, Md.- The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that left two people dead near Salisbury at around noon Friday.  

According to police, a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Route 50 when it exited the highway onto Naylor Mill Road via the Naylor Mill turnoff. Police said that for an unknown reason, the driver did not stop at the stop sign and collided with another vehicle heading southbound on Naylor Mill Road. The driver and a passenger of the first vehicle died in the crash.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center and is in unknown condition.

Police have not yet released the names of the victims.

The portion of Naylor Mill Road where the crash occurred was closed while emergency crews cleared the scene. It has since reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
