3 Juveniles Arrested for Youth Center Arson

SALISBURY, Md.— The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says three juveniles were arrested Thursday night for setting fire to a wooden dock at the Salvation Army's Richard Hazel Youth Center in Salisbury.

Investigators said Salisbury firefighters responded to the youth center at 429 North Lake Park Drive at around 8:33 p.m. According to authorities, the three juveniles had extinguished the fire with their feet after being discovered by a youth center employee.

Deputy State Fire Marshals said the dock suffered $50 in structural loss and the juveniles were released to the custody of their parents pending referral to the Department of Juvenile Services.

There were no reported injuries.
