DOVER, Del.- Summer is usually a buggy time on Delmarva, but residents of one neighborhood in Dover said the roaches there are out of control.
Jennifer Holcomb, who lives in Kentwood Estates in Dover, said roaches infiltrated the mobile home park about five months ago.
"Roaches! Severe amount of roaches, anywhere you look at night time, as soon as the sun goes down the roaches are all over the road coming up the porch, eating the wood. All over you," she said.
Holcomb and her neighbors suspect the roaches are coming from a nearby mobile home, but the residents of that mobile home denied that is the case. They said the roach infestation came from a nearby mobile home that was recently demolished.
Holcomb said the property managers at Kentwood Estates need to get involved and solve the issue.
"They haven't made any effort to clean up the property, they have a maintenance man who doesn't do much of anything," she said. "And at this point they basically told us, 'What do you expect? You live in a mobile home park.'"
WBOC tried to reach out to the property managers at Kentwood Estates for a comment but our phone calls were not returned.
