Dagsboro House Fire Reportedly Causes $75,000 in Damages

DAGSBORO, Del. – A fire that tore through a Dagsboro home on Saturday night reportedly caused $75,000 in damages.

The Dagsboro, Millsboro, Frankford and Millville fire departments responded to the incident, which occurred at 11:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Deer Run Court. 

According to the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office, which is investigating, the blaze started in a second-floor closet due to a light fixture malfunction.

Investigators said the occupants were alerted by their smoke detectors and were able to safely escape.
