Samuel Curtis
SALISBURY, Md.- A man was arrested for burglarizing a Salisbury home on Sunday night after police say they found a crowbar in his pants.
Deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said they responded to a reported glass breaking at 12:41 a.m. at a home in the 300 block of Wyman Drive.
Authorities said the deputies stopped and questioned a man who was walking nearby. The man reportedly matched the suspect description they had been given, and deputies identified him as Samuel Curtis, 49, of Crisfield.
Deputies said Curtis had a crowbar hidden in his pants that matched the marks made in the broken window. Police said they believed that Curtis tried to break into the home, but fled after the sound of breaking glass alerted the neighbors.
Curtis was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary. He was ordered held in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $40,000 bond.
