FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A Frederick brewery that sprayed graffiti on sidewalks to promote an upcoming event may have to pay the city for cleanup costs.
Police say dozens of graffiti tags for the Flying Dog Brewery were placed all over downtown.
The logos of the brewery website were sprayed two weeks ago to promote Gonzofest, an upcoming event at the brewery. City workers washed them away on Tuesday.
Erin Biles, public relations manager for Flying Dog, said that the brewery did not ask for permission to use the "spray chalk" because other businesses have done the same thing.
Police say the brewery won't be fined or cited for violating a city ordinance because there was no criminal intent.
