PHILADELPHIA— The Philadelphia Flyers have announced their schedule for the 2012 preseason.
The Flyers are opening a training camp Saturday, Sept. 22 at The Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone with on-ice workouts on before playing seven exhibition games over a two-week period leading into the start of the 2012-2013 regular season.
The Flyers will play three of their exhibition games at the Wells Fargo Center, while playing a fourth game as the home team on Sept. 26 at the Global Spectrum-managed John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario, home of the OHL's London Knights. The Flyers will make a preseason visit to London for the ninth straight year and will take on the Maple Leafs there for the third time.
Prior to the start of main training camp, the Flyers will hold a four-day rookie camp that starts on Sunday, Sept. 16 and culminates with a Rookie Game exhibition in Washington against the Capitals at 3 p.m. on Sept. 20. Further information on that game will be released later this summer.
Further details on training camp ice schedules will also be released at a later date. All on-ice sessions at The Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone are free and open to the public.
