OCEAN CITY, Md.— Ocean City police say a Delaware man is facing DUI and related charges following numerous hit-and-run crashes that occurred Monday night in the resort town.

Ocean City police said they officers spotted a truck driving on its rims on Monday at around 10:15 p.m. in the area of 28th Street and Coastal Highway. Police said they also received numerous calls about a vehicle that matched the description of the truck involved in several traffic collisions from 20th Street to 28th Street.

Officers stopped the driver, 43-year-old Michael K. Hall of Greenwood, Del., on Robin Drive. According to authorities, Hall got out of the police, admitted to police that he was drunk, and threatened to "kill" and "snipe" the officers. Police said that while officers were speaking with Hall, they discovered that he was wanted in Delaware on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Investigators said Hall's vehicle contained a rifle, a pistol holster with blanks, binoculars, a spotting scope and several knives.

Hall was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol and negligent driving. He was also issued more than 60 traffic citations related to failing to stop after an accident, failure to return to and remain at the scene of accident, reckless driving, and speeding.

Hall was ordered held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
