SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities say a Salisbury man and woman are facing multiple charges following accusations that they abused physically abused two children in their care and custody.
Kendal Barclay Hazel, 34, is charged with one count of first-degree child abuse, six counts of second-degree child abuse, one count of second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment and one count of neglect of a minor.
Kristen Hazel, 31, is charged with two counts of second-degree child abuse, one count of reckless endangerment and one count of neglect of a minor.
The Wicomico Child Advocacy Center reports that the couple was indicted by the Wicomico County Grand Jury on June 25 and arrested the next day on the aforementioned charges.
Kendal Hazel was released on $300,000 bond and Kirsten Hazel was released on $150,000 bond. Both have been ordered to have no contact with the victims as a condition of their bonds, investigators said.
