ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Talks are scheduled to continue with key officials in Maryland on whether a consensus can be reached to expand gambling in the state.
Gov. Martin O'Malley is set to meet with Prince George's County Executive Rushern Baker, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake on Monday.
O'Malley is scheduled to meet with House Speaker Michael Busch and Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller on Tuesday.
Lawmakers have had trouble reaching an agreement on how to allow table games like roulette and a casino in Prince George's County.
O'Malley has said he will call a special session, if lawmakers can work out an agreement. But they are facing an Aug. 20 deadline to approve legislation, so voters can consider the proposal in November.
