RICHMOND, Va. (AP)- Supporters of an American death metal band singer arrested in the Czech Republic are planning a vigil in Washington, D.C.
The vigil for Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Vigil organizer Tommy Street says that friends hope they'll be welcoming Blythe home. But if not, the vigil will send a message of support for him.
Blythe was arrested in Prague on June 27. He's accused of injuring a fan during a concert in May 2010. The fan later died.
Czech authorities are continuing to hold Blythe in jail. The newspaper says Blythe is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Other members of the Richmond-based band have declined to comment.
