SALISBURY, Md.– A Salisbury woman is behind bars on assault and related charges following accusations that she and an accomplice beat up another man on Monday afternoon.

Salisbury police reportedly responded to the call shortly before 2 p.m. at a home at 824 W. Isabella St. According to police, the victim said he was accosted by 52-year-old Marjorie Dickerson and a male acquaintance.

Authorities said the male suspect pushed the victim to the ground and struck him several times with a metal cane. It is alleged that Dickerson then punched the victim multiple times in the face and chest.

The victim received cuts and bruises to his arm and neck caused by the assault, according to police.

Dickerson has been charged with second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. She is being held in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Police said the case remains under investigation and charges are pending against the male suspect.
