HARRINGTON, Del.— Two teenagers are in custody on drug-related charges following a heroin bust at a home in Harrington.
Harrington police, with the assistance of the Smyrna, Clayton, and Felton police departments, executed a narcotics search warrant Tuesday, July 17, at a home on the 100 block of Dorman Street. According to police, the search revealed an unknown quantity of heroin packaged for resale, a digital scale, and a large amount of drug paraphernalia for packaging and ingesting illegal drugs, according to investigators.
Police arrested a 15-year-old boy and 19-year-old Michael G. Carter, both of Harrington.
The 15-year-old was charged with three counts of manufactures, delivers, or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a drug property, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Carter was charged with one count of manufactures, delivers, or possession with intent to deliver and second-degree conspiracy.
The juvenile was committed to Stevenson House in lieu of $45,000 secured bond. Carter was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $20,000 secured bond.
