WILLIAMSBURG, VA. (AP)- The Mach Tower at Busch Gardens is closed while park officials review changes recommended by the ride's manufacturer.
Park spokesman Kevin Crossett says that the closure isn't related to safety or a previous maintenance-related shutdown in June.
Crossett says the review is an attempt to alleviate future down-time issues with the ride.
A date hasn't been set for the ride's reopening.
The 240-foot-tall Mach Tower lifts riders above the treetops and drops them back to ground level. It opened in late August 2011.
