CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP)- The first lady is headed to Virginia to pick up where the president left off last week.
Michelle Obama is scheduled to speak at a Women's Vote 2012 rally in Charlottesville Friday before heading to Fredericksburg to speak to supporters at the University of Mary Washington.
President Barack Obama made stops in Hampton Roads and Richmond last week.
The stops come as a new poll out Thursday shows Obama is in a dead heat with Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney.
The poll by Quinnipiac University shows the two tied at 44%. Obama had a 5-point advantage in the same poll in June. The survey has a margin of sampling error of plus-or-minus 2.4%age points.
