SALISBURY, Md.— Police on Thursday night arrested a Salisbury man accused of assaulting two women who lived with him.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, a deputy responded to a home on the 800 block of Brookmeade Court at around 8:45 p.m. and met with two women who claimed they had both been assaulted by 60-year-old Charles P. Patton. Investigators said both victims had corresponding signs of injury that fit their allegations. The deputy also observed Patton to be visibly drunk, police said.

Patton was taken into custody and charged with two counts of second-degree assault and ordered held in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bond.
