Firefly Music Festival Sets June 2013 Dates

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Organizers of the successful Firefly Music Festival say the 3-day event will return to Dover in June 2013.

The dates of next year's festival will be June 21-23. The lineup of musical acts has not yet been announced. Pre-sale tickets for the festival were available on the event's website this week.

Cindy Small, executive director of Kent County Tourism, welcomed the news, saying next year's festival won't overlap with the Delaware State Fair's opening as this year's did.

The 2012 festival drew an estimated 30,000 guests daily. Tourism officials say the event fed about $12.6 million into the state.
