MILLINGTON, Md.- The Kent County (Md.) Sheriff's Office is investigating the drowning death of a 4-year-old boy in Millington.

Authorities said that Jordan Adkins fell into a neighbor's pool after leaving his home on the 300 block of West Street.

A family member found the child in an above ground swimming pool which was just under 4-feet-deep and performed CPR.

Paramedics and the Millington Volunteer Fire Department responded and transported Adkins to Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown.

The child was later pronounced dead. The Kent County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division is conducting an investigation to rule out any foul play.
