Delaware Officials Dedicate Cedar Creek Boat Facility

SLAUGHTER BEACH, Del. (AP) - A new state-of-the-art boat facility will offer Delaware boaters access to several waterways in central Delaware.

Gov. Jack Markell and members of the state's congressional delegation planned to gather Monday to mark the completion of the Cedar Creek boat ramp facility in Slaughter Beach.

The new facility includes eight 16-foot wide concrete launch lanes, five floating boarding docks and one floating courtesy dock, offering boaters access to Cedar Creek, Mispillion Harbor and the Delaware Bay.

The facility was built with $3.2 million in federal and state funds, with 75 percent of the funding coming from federal Sport Fish Restoration funds allocated by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
