HARRINGTON, Del.- Harrington police say three men are facing charges after officers found a makeshift meth lab in their hotel room early Monday morning.

Less than 100 yards from the entrance of the Delaware State Fair, police said they found three men cooking crystal meth at the AmericInn on Route 13.

Paris Miller, of Dover, is an avid fair-goer and cannot believe something like this happened so close to the fairgrounds.

"Harrington just doesn't seem like that kind of city to have something like that happen in," she said. "Especially when the fair is happening and all of the children were there."

Police said the men arrested early Monday are not from Delaware. Their investigation of a stolen bicycle led them to the hotel room lab.

"I believe they worked for the concession stands during the Delaware State Fair," said Harrington Police Chief Norman Barlow.

This reporter reached out to the Delaware State Fair to find out what its hiring process is, but the calls were not returned.
