SALISBURY,
Md. – August 10 will serve as Emergency Preparedness Night at Arthur W. Perdue
Stadium as the Delmarva Shorebirds take on the Augusta Greenjackets.
Health departments from Dorchester, Somerset,
Wicomico, and Worcester invite the public to come out to the ballpark for the
event. Representatives from these departments as well as emergency management
agencies and volunteer organizations will host booths promoting emergency
preparedness.
Game time will be at 7:05 p.m., and officials say the
booths will feature emergency-themed giveaways and prizes that will be
available as long as supplies last.
This event is being co-sponsored by the health
departments and emergency management offices of Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico
and Worcester counties in addition to the Maryland Emergency Management Agency.
