Delaware Psychiatric CenterNEW CASTLE, Del. (AP)- Delaware health officials say a recently discharged psychiatric patient died after being found unresponsive in her home.
The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services said Tuesday that the unidentified 58-year-old woman was recently discharged from the Delaware Psychiatric Center near New Castle. The department says she was found unresponsive at her Sussex County home on Sunday and was pronounced dead at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
Health officials say an autopsy is being conducted by the state medical examiner's office. An investigation by the Department of Health and Social Services is also being conducted. The department said foul play is not suspected.
