HARRINGTON, Del. (AP) - Attendance at this year's Delaware State Fair was down slightly, but the overall box-office revenue at $2.4 million was the third-highest in fair history.

The 93rd state fair held was held in Harrington and ran for 10 days, beginning July 19. It featured a monster truck show, and culinary and homebrew beer contests.

Officials say about 259,000 people attended the fair, down less than 1% from last year's total.

Fair officials say the event also set a new record for money raised at its livestock auction. This year, 142 animals sold for $170,000, breaking the previous record of $142,000.
